ELEKTRA releases its Introductory Video

The video introduces the ELEKTRA project, its objectives and the innovative technologies being developed to support the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries.

The European ELEKTRA project has released its introductory video, offering an overview of its mission, technological approach and ambition to accelerate industrial electrification.

As European industries face the challenge of reducing their carbon footprint while maintaining competitiveness, innovative electrification solutions are becoming increasingly important. ELEKTRA addresses this challenge by developing and demonstrating advanced technologies designed to transform industrial processes and support the transition towards more sustainable production.

The project focuses on three main technological pathways:

  • Electrically heated reforming, exploring innovative solutions to electrify industrial reforming processes.
  • Induction-based ammonia cracking, developing induction technologies to support the conversion of ammonia into hydrogen.
  • Plasma technology for CO₂ conversion, investigating plasma-based solutions for converting CO₂ into CO.

Through these technological developments, ELEKTRA aims to demonstrate the potential of innovative electrification solutions and contribute to the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industrial sectors.

The introductory video provides an opportunity to discover the project’s vision, understand its main objectives and learn more about the technologies being developed by the consortium.
