How can induction technology contribute to the decarbonisation of industrial processes?
This was the central question addressed during a webinar organised by Alianza Q-Cero, held on 29 October 2026, bringing together experts to explore the opportunities and challenges of industrial electrification.
The webinar highlighted how electrification can go beyond replacing conventional heat sources. By introducing innovative technologies into industrial processes, it can also support process intensification, transform production methods and create new opportunities for more sustainable industrial operations.
Among the contributors was Diego Zapater Bes, Senior Researcher in Membrane Technology and Process Intensification at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, who presented insights from the European project ELEKTRA.
The discussion explored the potential applications of induction technologies in industry, their implementation opportunities and the challenges associated with their further development. Contributions from TECNALIA and Empresarios Agrupados also addressed experiences and projects related to hydrogen production, renewable ammonia synthesis and the electrification of heat treatments in the steel sector.
The full webinar recording is available on YouTube, offering an opportunity to explore the presentations and discussions on industrial induction technologies and their contribution to industrial decarbonisation.
