Technological performance is only one part of the transition towards a lower-carbon industry. Trust, perceived benefits, concerns and social acceptance can also play an important role in determining whether new technologies are adopted in practice.
The ELEKTRA project is therefore inviting stakeholders to share their views on three innovative technologies being explored for the decarbonisation and electrification of industry:
๐น Electrically heated reforming for the production of reducing gases
๐น Induction-heated ammonia cracking for hydrogen production
๐น Plasma-assisted COโ conversion into reusable carbon monoxide (CO)
Why your perspective matters
The transition towards low-carbon industrial processes involves more than developing and demonstrating new technologies. Understanding how different stakeholders perceive these solutions can help identify the opportunities, concerns and conditions that may influence their acceptance and future uptake.
The survey focuses particularly on applications relevant to the iron and steel sector, where the transition towards more sustainable production processes requires both technological innovation and consideration of the wider industrial and societal context.
ELEKTRA is particularly interested in hearing from stakeholders working in:
- Research and academia
- Industry
- Policy and public administration
- Consultancy
- Civil society and related organisations
Whether you are directly involved in industrial decarbonisation or have an interest in the future of low-carbon technologies, your perspective can contribute to a better understanding of the factors that may support their development and adoption.
Take part in the survey: The questionnaire takes approximately 6โ7 minutes to complete.
